Putting local beef into the school systems of Carbon and Stillwater Counties
WOW!!
The community support for this great program has been awesome. Since the fall of 2023 we have been able to place over 7000lbs of local beef into the school systems of Carbon and Stillwater Counties.
This program would not be possible without the generous donations of animals from the following individuals: Pine Coulee Bulls, Jess & Lynda Berg, Tyler & Jennifer Holzum, Guy Behrent, Terrill Ostrum, Jim Bill Anderson, Mo & Orsi Sowards, Les & Dawn Kraft, Noel & Penny Keogh, L Bar W Cattle Company and Bob & Kathy Kirch. Sibyane Stillwater Mine and Wheaton Precious Metals have made a generous donation to this program.
How does it work?
Local cattle producers can donate a live beef animal to be processed into ground beef. The ground beef is then sold to schools within our counties for a $1.00/pound.
